Every child deserves access to a great education, but Trump is making it harder to get one.

His administration has called for abolishing the Department of Education, slashing funding for HBCUs, and gutting student loan programs that help working families afford college. They are making higher education less accessible, especially for minority and first-generation students, by targeting universities that champion diversity and inclusion. And in classrooms across the country, right-wing extremists are banning books, censoring history, and trying to inject politics into what students can learn.

In Congress, I will fight to strengthen public schools and defend every student’s right to learn. I will stand against any effort to abolish the Department of Education, cut funding to HBCUs, or make college even harder to reach for first-generation and minority students. I will push to expand access to affordable higher education, support relief for student loan borrowers, and make sure every young person has a fair shot.
