The Trump administration has turned immigration enforcement into a weapon against communities across this country.

They have illegally detained lawful immigrants, defied court orders, and sent ICE into neighborhoods to rip families apart and terrorize communities of color. They have tried to silence immigrants who speak out and are even attacking birthright citizenship, a right protected by our Constitution.

In Congress, I will fight to restore the basic principles of fairness, dignity, and the rule of law. I will work to protect families from unlawful deportations, defend constitutional rights for every person living in this country, and push for a humane, orderly immigration system that secures our borders without sacrificing who we are. We can protect our communities and honor our values at the same time, and I will fight every day to make sure we do.
