The Trump administration has launched a deliberate attack on the rights and futures of women across America.

They have slashed funding for family planning clinics, stripped federal research dollars from women’s health initiatives, and targeted diversity and inclusion programs designed to open doors in education and employment. They helped overturn federal protections under Roe v. Wade and continue to support state efforts to control women’s bodies and deny them basic freedoms. Meanwhile, America remains one of the most dangerous places to give birth in the developed world. The crisis is even worse for Black women, who are nearly three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications. That is unacceptable.

In Congress, I will fight to defend access to safe, legal abortion and contraception, restore investment in women’s health and research, and stand up against discrimination in every form. I’ll also push to expand access to maternal health care by funding more OB-GYNs and midwives, especially in underserved and rural communities, because no woman should risk her life to bring a child into the world.
