Do More to Build Safer Communities
Every American deserves to feel safe in their home, in their neighborhood, and at school.
But the Trump administration has offered no real plan to make our communities safer. They talk tough about crime but refuse to tackle the root causes of violence. They block common sense gun reforms, ignore mental health needs, and leave everyday Americans hanging to deal with the consequences.
In Congress, I will fight for real solutions to make our communities safer. That means investing in violence prevention programs that stop crime before it starts, rebuilding trust between law enforcement and the people they serve, and expanding mental health and youth support services. I will also stand up for common sense gun safety reforms, because no family should have to live in fear when they step outside their door or send their kid to school.
