<h2>Politicians love to talk tough.</h2>They promise to fight back and stand up, but too often that means nothing more than loud speeches and social media posts. That’s not leadership. It’s performance art.We’re living through hard times, and people are fed up. They’re not looking for the loudest voice in the room. They want someone who will actually do something to make their lives better. Right now.<h3>I don’t need to wait until I’m in office to start doing something now.</h3>

I decided to run for Congress because I believe the people of Georgia's 13th District deserve better. We deserve strong, competent, and strategic representation that can fight for our interests and meet the challenges ahead. As this race moved forward, the field became crowded with candidates who lack deep roots in this district and offer no serious vision for its future.My commitment to this district has always outweighed my personal ambition. The reality is that continuing this campaign risks dividing our strength and handing this seat to someone incapable of doing the job. The stakes are simply too high. That is why I am suspending my campaign today and endorsing Everton Blair. I am fully confident that our district's future will be bright under Everton's stewardship, and I look forward to working alongside him to secure a decisive victory for the people of GA-13.Everton shares my vision of building an economy that works for working people. I know he will fight vigorously to stand up to this lawless administration and advocate for the families of GA-13. He will be a strong Democratic voice and an independent thinker who puts our district first. Now more than ever, our community needs representation that is proven, competent, and strategic. Everton is the only candidate left in this race who meets that standard.While I am suspending my campaign, I am not stepping away from the fight. I will be working directly with Everton to organize, engage voters, and make sure Georgia's 13th District has the leadership it deserves. His mother, a medical billing clerk, spent her days fighting insurance companies to make sure patients could receive the care they needed. They did not have much, but they had each other, and that made all the difference.<h3>In 2006, seeking a better life, Ron’s family moved to Clayton County, Georgia.</h3>Just months later, the Great Recession hit, and it hit hard. His parents lost their jobs. The home they had worked so hard to earn went into foreclosure. It was a devastating blow, but it did not break them.With the support of his family, the guidance of teachers who believed in him, and the helping hands of neighbors who refused to let them fall, Ron kept moving forward, driven by a simple belief that better was still possible.

As this race has evolved, the field has become increasingly crowded, including with candidates who I believe are not prepared for the responsibility of representing this district. We cannot afford a fractured vote that sends the wrong kind of leadership to Washington. After carefully evaluating the dynamics of this race and what it will take to protect the future of GA-13, I have come to the difficult conclusion that my remaining in the race could increase the chances of an outcome that does not reflect the best interests of our community. For that reason, I have decided to suspend my campaign. I am deeply grateful to every volunteer, supporter, and donor who believed in this vision. The work does not stop here. My commitment to Georgia’s 13th remains as strong as ever.

I’ll also push to expand access to maternal health care by funding more OB-GYNs and midwives, especially in underserved and rural communities, because no woman should risk her life to bring a child into the world.

These are not isolated actions. They are part of a larger effort to drag our country backward.In Congress, I will fight to protect our freedoms. I will push for national protections against voter suppression, defend civil rights in every community, and stand up against any effort to divide us or turn back the clock. Everyone deserves to live with dignity and freedom, and I will never stop fighting to make that promise real for all of us.

They block common sense gun reforms, ignore mental health needs, and leave everyday Americans hanging to deal with the consequences.In Congress, I will fight for real solutions to make our communities safer. That means investing in violence prevention programs that stop crime before it starts, rebuilding trust between law enforcement and the people they serve, and expanding mental health and youth support services. I will also stand up for common sense gun safety reforms, because no family should have to live in fear when they step outside their door or send their kid to school.

<h3>The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are jeopardizing the healthcare of millions of Americans.</h3>They’ve slashed Medicaid by $1 trillion, putting coverage for more than 11 million Americans at risk. At the same time, they’re working to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and weaken Medicare, threatening care for seniors and families. To make matters worse, Trump is playing politics with critical medical research funding, jeopardizing life-saving progress in the fight against cancer, Alzheimer’s, and other major diseases.I’ll stand up against Republican efforts to gut Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act. In Congress, I’ll fight to expand access to affordable quality care and protect coverage for people with pre-existing conditions. I’ll also support restoring federal investment in groundbreaking medical research because fighting diseases like cancer and Alzheimer’s should never be a partisan issue.
